It' s time for the Glazed Donut Skin
Glazed skin like a delicious donut. Zendaya and Hailey Bieber are the trendsetters
May 9th, 2022
Well, who would have thought we'd want glazed and yummy skin like the famous Homer Simpson donut? Yet the Glazed Donut Skin, which Allure magazine has made the trend of the season, seems to be making its way into our wardrobes. Why do we like it? Firstly, because Zendaya and Hailey Bieber are sporting it. Secondly, this technique makes the complexion glow, without too much effort or complex make-up techniques. It all started when Hailey Bieber unveiled her beauty brand Rhode, due out in June, with the aim of achieving perfectly smooth and glowing skin for the warmer season. A texture, Glazed Donut Skin, which we've not actually seen much in recent times but which is perfect for making the complexion look even younger (remember, in fact, when Jennifer Lopez sported it in videos such as Waiting for tonight in the 2000s era).
How can we achieve this "shimmer"? Firstly by moisturizing the skin a lot, better if with oil that gives the dermis this dewy turgidity. Then you can amplify the shimmer with make-up, thanks to hyper-iridescent cream highlighters. The steps? To prepare the skin, we always recommend a gentle exfoliator to remove all impurities and make the skin as smooth as possible. Then it's on to facial oils and skin balms with a sorbet-like texture. For those who want an extra donut effect, we recommend adding a touch of oil to your foundation as well, then layering it with a colored blush. Which points should be made more glazed? The forehead and the entire T-zone, the lips and the cheeks.
