Just a few months after the death of founder Paco Rabanne and on the eve of its 60th anniversary, the brand changes its name to simply Rabanne. The name change is accompanied by a new visual identity and distinctive logo inspired by the first fragrance, Calandre, launched in 1969. This decision is part of a comprehensive rebranding that aims to fuse fashion and beauty with a unique, creative, inclusive and innovative approach in the spirit of Monsieur Rabanne's pioneering legacy.

The other big news at Rabanne is that the company is announcing its entry into the cosmetics market after Gucci, Valentino and Hermès. Led by Diane Kendal as global beauty creative director, the house is launching its first make-up collection, which will be unveiled at the SS24 fashion show in September. The range will feature metallic finishes inspired by the brand's most iconic garments, such as the 1969 handbag and XL metallic mesh jewellery, and will be divided into four categories: Nudes for foundations, Eyephoria for eyes, Rouge Rabanne for lips and Arts Factory with products inspired by art. Packaging will be glossy, gold, silver and mirrored to continue the homage to Rabanne's history and futuristic creations.
