With over 40 million views, the hashtag #pearlskin decides a new makeup trend that invites us to play with iridescent shades to illuminate the face, giving it a bonne mine touch and a radiant finish, delicately silky and ethereal. The goal? Capture light and reflect it to give the complexion dewy highlights that evoke the glow of pearls. This new interpretation of luminous makeup for spring fits perfectly among the already popular no-makeup makeup, wet look, and mermaid aesthetics. However, unlike these beauty trends, pearl skin does not focus on a glossy, reflective, wet look finish, but aims to enhance the natural beauty of the skin through the use of creamy products and the application of highlighter in strategic areas. The technique is rather simple and does not require too many cosmetics to achieve. What is pearl skin?
As the name suggests, pearl skin draws inspiration from the refined shine of pearls, which, interpreted in makeup, enhances the complexion with a milky iridescence, but without being too shiny as happens with glazed donut skin or glass skin.
