The North Face launches a special collection for the International Women's Day
A project designed and created by an all-female team
March 3rd, 2020
March 8th is the International Women's Day. The North Face has decided to present its first all-female collection to celebrate this event. The result is a capsule of technical fabric t-shirts and tote bags available in green, purple, white and featuring a vintage Yosemite Archives photo showing two women on top of a cliff after climbing in dresses and heels.
Each item is manufactured in the Jerash Garment Factory, a factory in Jordan founded by Oryana Awaisheh that provides more than 500 new jobs for women and their families.
The world contains more skilled, talented and ambitious women than ever and I’m incredibly proud to be able to partner with The North Face to showcase the work of just a small number of these amazing women.
Commented the activist who, along with an all-female team, supervised every aspect of the project: from the idea to the execution to the advertising campaign. The images, taken by British photographer and director Holly-Marie Cato, starred a group of extraordinary women, each pioneer who challenged the status quo and pushed the boundaries for women, be it music, art, business or sport. Among them, British singer Jess Glynne, freeride world champion Marion Haerty, London adventurer Sofia Jin and stunt actress Marie Mouroum debut as ambassadors of The North Face.
The International Women's Day collection is available on The North Face website and in selected retailers.
