H&M Studio presents its FW20 collection, The Refined Rebel Inspired by David Bowie, London in the 70s and by the writer Violet Paget

Glitter, brightly colored ruffles, metallic leather jackets and jacquard suits. Inclusive and sustainable, H&M Studio's FW20 collection is a jump into 70s glam rock, designed to give our season's wardrobe a rebellious, rock and damn cool twist.

The A/W 2020 muse is not afraid to challenge the status quo. - Explains Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative consultant at H&M - This collection is for those that celebrate being oneself above all else. Wear the bold earrings to work, try the lingerie-inspired dress over the red leather pants or layer with the deep V-neck dresses for a relaxed sexiness.

The Refined Rebel, in fact, takes inspiration from two true nonconformists, two talented rebels united by a unique, opulent and no gender style: David Bowie and Violet Paget, the English writer, known under the pseudonym of Vernon Lee, who pretended to be a man to be considered in the 18th-century literature.

Combining bold opulence and punk charm, H&M Studio presents a series of items with an eccentric and extravagant allure, poised between vintage elegance and 70s disco: from the maxi organza shirts to the blue sequined dress, from the metallic jacket with black lapels to the sky blue shirt with ruffles and pleats, from the mint green jacquard fabric suit to the coral red flared leather pants, from the recycled Italian wool coat to the long skirts worn with boots. All declined in a palette of colors ranging from the cooler shades of blue and green, to the more autumnal ones, such as pink or pomegranate red. The accessories? Maxi brooches with rhinestones and eye-catching earrings.

To launch the collection, the low coast chain called a cast of talents including Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira, Veronika Heilbrunner, Celeste, Alton Mason, Young Emperors and Mia Kong, who each wore and shot the collection at home.

The H&M Studio FW20 collection is available online in limited edition. Prices range from 14€ for a printed scarf to 199€ for the leather jacket.
