2. Yves Saint Laurent & Pierre Bergé (1958 - 2008)
Yves Saint Laurent is a well known name in the fashion world. At a very young age he began working alongside Christian Dior, who, after his death, left the creative direction of the brand to the promising Yves. Yves, due to a chronic depression that haunted him from a very young age, however, was unable to value himself and to understand how strong his talent was. The meeting with Pierre Bergé in 1958 was the turning point. Pierre was a man of culture, journalist and art expert, with a keen sense for business. Their union was both loving and professional. Bergé strongly believed in his partner's artistic and creative talents. Thus it was that in 1961 the two founded the fashion house Yves Saint Laurent, where Yves was finally able to demonstrate how much his creative flair was worth. Their romantic relationship was interrupted in 1976, but the two always remained side by side, faithful life companions, only to finally get married in 2008 shortly before Yves's death. Pierre Bergé died in 2017 but for all the years following the death of his beloved he continued to write letters dedicated to him to make their love live beyond death.
3. John Lennon & Yoko Ono (1966 - 1980)
When we think of the love story between John Lennon and Yoko Ono, the iconic photograph taken in 1980 by Annie Leibovitz for Rolling Stone magazine comes to mind. In this image you can see the essence of their relationship, so intense and visceral, where he naked, in a fetal position, kisses her tenderly with his eyes closed. John saw in Yoko much more than just a partner. For him she was a savior, a mother, a teacher, a mentor who showed him life from another point of view. He was the composer and singer of the Beatles, at that time the most famous and discussed group in the world. She, a niche artist of Japanese origins, was not really well regarded by public opinion: the woman is in fact attributed the cause of the band's dissolution. They met at a Yoko Ono exhibition, John falls in love immediately but she gives up after two years of courtship. John and Yoko, aware of their media exposure, used the honeymoon as a form of peaceful protest against the war in Vietnam, or the "Bed-In", ie 7 days in which they allowed themselves to be interviewed lying in their nuptial bed. Their love story was undoubtedly intense and in the spotlight of the world press until the day of Lennon's tragic death.

Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg are the symbolic couple of 1970s France. He is Brigitte Bardot's ex boyfriend, she has just returned from a failed marriage, they meet by chance on the set of a film. Love breaks out in an impetuous and extremely passionate way. So much so that the couple becomes a symbol of sexual freedom in a country that is still very bigoted. "Je t'aime... moi non plus" is the song that celebrates their passion and desire. Thanks to Jane's simulation of an orgasm, the song soon became famous all over the world, although it was censored in many states. Also in terms of style, the couple stands out in the spotlight so much so that the famous Hermes Birkin bag is dedicated to her. Although their love has been timeless and Jane herself has declared that she still loves Serge, the relationship ends prematurely due to his alcoholism problems.

When the two sex symbols met for the first time it was 1989, Johnny Depp was 26 and Winona Ryder not yet 18, they were in New York for a film premiere where she was acting. Johnny still remembers the first time he saw Winona, but despite an intense game of glances, the two, on that occasion, had no direct contact. It so happens that the following year they find themselves on the set of the film "Edward Scissorhands". This is where their love story begins. The couple becomes one of the most iconic and intriguing in Hollywood. The two actors are beautiful and extravagant and attract attention with their overwhelming love and their glam-rock look. Johnny doesn't want to hold back because he claims he has never loved her before, and just five months into the relationship he asks Winona to marry him. However, the two are persuaded by a mutual friend, older than them, and renounce the wedding. After four years the story between the two ends, without any declaration, shrouded in mystery suddenly disappears just as it was born, leaving both shaken and disturbed. The tattoo that Johnny had previously dedicated to her is changed from "Winona Forever" to "Wino Forever". Years later it is thought that Johnny Depp has never removed Winona from his mind and the hope that the two get back together is still alive.
6. David Bowie & Iman (1990 - 2016)
"As I looked at her I was already thinking about the names of the children we would have together" these were the words with which David Bowie told the first time he saw Iman in 1990 at a party in Los Angeles. The two met because they shared the hairdresser. Despite his past as a female spoiler and his eccentricity, such as to revolutionize the canons of male beauty, at that party Bowie did not know how to approach Iman, a beautiful Somali supermodel. Like a good strategist, he overheard and heard about an upcoming business trip. He wrote down the day and the airport where she would return, and so he introduced himself to invite her, still in panic, to have a cup of tea together. The first time Bowie asked Iman's hand on the bank of the Seine she said no, since neither of them had ever met their families. The White Duke then transforms into a Little Lord in order to get the hand of his beloved. “I will never get married again, David will always be my husband, not my dead husband. Don't call it that”. After 24 years of marriage and the unexpected death of David Bowie, these are the words with which Iman remembers him.

Legend tells that while on a run in Central Park, he met Carolyn Bessette. Carolyn was considered the most beautiful of her school but it was certainly not for her beauty that she managed to assert herself in life. She made her career within Calvin Klein starting from being a simple saleswoman to becoming the muse of the brand itself. They lived a true and sincere love story which, however, was cut short by a plane crash, which was piloted by John himself, where the two lovers lost their lives.

After a short time they gave birth to children Jaden and Willow. The two are not only husband and wife but also business partners, friends and confidants. Over the years, absurd rumors have been circulating about them, such as that they were in an open relationship or even both homosexuals and that they used marriage as a cover. What is true is that Jada cheated on Will with another man. The fact created havoc in the couple but never to the point of considering the divorce. Will Smith said he couldn't leave her and wanted to leave her: "I honestly don't think there is another woman for me other than Jada". The two grew up together and managed to make love triumph even in the darkest moments.
9. David Beckham & Victoria Beckham (1998 - today)
Just last July 4th, former footballer David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria celebrated their 21st year of marriage. "Four children, four dogs, so much laughter and I love you more each day" is how Victoria describes, in an Instagram post, her marriage to David, which made them almost the second "royal couple" in England. David says he saw the Spice Girls on TV 23 years ago and immediately fell under the spell of “the one in black” but their first meeting took place in early 1997 during a charity football match. It is love at first sight. In 1998 their engagement was made public and in 1999 they celebrate both their marriage and the birth of their firstborn Brooklyn Joseph Beckham. The strength of their love story lies in the balance that the couple managed to find, both in the family management and in managing the voices of the press that repeatedly tried to put discord between the two by communicating alleged (remained only such) betrayals from him and criticizing the hard and harsh character of her. The two have always managed to make love triumph and not gossips.
10. Jay-Z e Beyonce (2004 - today)
Although Beyonce and Jay-Z are one of, if not A, the most well-known and influential couple in today's music scene, it is interesting to note how they have managed since the dawn of their relationship to have full control of their privacy and manipulate their music. media without ever leaking gossip news unless they themselves wanted to spread it. In fact, their story dates back to the late 90s and early 2000s, where a mutual artistic esteem consolidated in the songs "Bonnie and Clyde" and "Crazy in love" matures in a profound love story. The two formalized their relationship by presenting themselves hand in hand during the MTV Music Awards of 2004. There are not few difficulties that the couple, after 20 years of passion and 3 children (Blue Ivy, Sir and Rumi) have had to face, and in this music was a means of catharsis. Their art is a tool with which the two tell each other and with which they talk about their love without avoiding negative notes, on the contrary, in their albums they openly deal with delicate issues such as his betrayal with the mysterious "Becky with the good hair "and how they dealt with it. A therapeutic music and testament of a love that, thanks to these great communication skills, is able to go beyond any obstacle.
11. Ellen DeGeneres & Portia De Rossi (2005 - today)
Famous TV host Ellen DeGeneres was the first woman to be on the cover of the Times newspaper by going out. The Australian actress Portia De Rossi, on the other hand, before meeting Ellen, was married to a man but at the same time hid her real orientation because she was afraid of having to face public opinion. In 2004, however, after Portia's divorce, fate brought the two women together during a photo shoot, the interest was immediately mutual. In 2005 their relationship was made public and Portia was able to speak openly about her sexuality, without fear of being judged. Since then the two have been an inspiring couple all over the world. Their love goes beyond any form of judgment. In 2008, California was the first state to admit that banning same-sex marriage was unconstitutional, so in the same year the two were married in their Los Angeles mansion. Over the years they have opened their hearts to 3 cats and 3 dogs but have never felt the need to want children. They are fine like this, just the two of them, a loving couple.
12. Kanye West & Kim Kardashian (2012 - 2022)
The story between Kim and Kanye is one of the most solid in a world of celebrities where it is difficult to find true love. The two have been together for more than 8 years, have been married for 6 and have four children. The first meeting between the two takes place in 2003 on the set of a Brandy and Kanye music video. Kim was friends with the singer and Kanye would have asked immediately after seeing her who the unknown girl was. In the following years, the two met on several occasions but love was slow to blossom. Kim is in fact struggling with bankruptcy marriages. However, the last marriage, with Kris Humphries, lasts only 72 days because Kim admits that she fell in love with Kanye after talking to him following a chance meeting. After the divorce, Kanye invites her to his show in Paris, joking that she was only organized to have a date with Kim. From that point on, the two actually start dating. The story comes out in 2012 with the song "Cold" in which the rapper dedicates some verses to his beloved. The wedding is celebrated privately in 2014 in Florence. Since then, the couple that no one would have bet on has continued to renew their love. After six years, the marriage foundered amid rumors of alleged infidelity and, more importantly, amid hypothetical U.S. presidential candidacies, controversial twitter and social statements, and nervous breakdowns on Ye's part, partly caused by the bipolar disorder from which he suffers. The divorce was officially formalized in 2022.
