Versace launches "Medusa Power Talks" on Clubhouse
Donatella Versace, Irina Shayk, Precious Lee and other guests will talk about female empowerment
March 31st, 2021
The relationship between fashion and Clubhouse is only at the beginning, but there are more and more brands that, attracted by the potential of the most hyped social network of the moment, are opening a room on the exclusive voice app which is accessible only by invitation and whose fans include Naomi Campbell and Virgil Abloh. Following The Attico, which presented the genderless capsule collection Life at Large, Versace has chosen this new virtual space to launch Medusa Power Talks, a series of recorded interviews and live talks focused on female empowerment with friends and collaborators of the Maison. Donatella Versace, Irina Shayk, Precious Lee, Indya Moore, Chelsea Miller and other guests will talk about what the word power means in 2021, in a space for women and genderqueer people that promotes diversity, gender equality and female empowerment.
"The archetype of a powerful person has changed forever. - Said Donatella Versace - For me, to be powerful is above all the freedom to express yourself as you are, without any fear,” said Versace. “Power plays many roles in our everyday lives. With my amazing panel of friends, Medusa Power Talks will discuss, examine and no doubt argue about what it means for us all to be powerful in 2021. I am passionate about offering a platform to voices that represent the future I want to see, and I can’t wait to hear their stories."
Versace has always promoted an idea of femininity that is strong, fearless, independent, self-conscious and emancipated, embodied by the Medusa, the brand's logo, which is also itself a symbol of the power of women. The Medusa Power Talks project perfectly embodies this philosophy. If you want to follow it, know that the interviews will be shared on Versace's social platforms starting March 30 and will culminate in a live event on Maison's new profile on Clubhouse.
