Miu Miu unveils the Upcycled collection in collaboration with Levi's
Vintage jeans and denim jackets revisited with the signature girlie touch of the Milanese brand
May 5th, 2021
Miu Miu is working to make the fashion industry more sustainable and, following the beautiful capsule collection of vintage clothes revisited in the style of the brand last December, has decided to expand its Upcycled line. The new chapter of the project comes from the collaboration with Levi's and its focus is on denim.
Adapted and customized by the Maison with its girlie touch, original pieces Made in the USA, true icons of the history of fashion and costume of the '80s and '90s, such as 501® jeans for men and the Trucker Jacket, become even more unique. Hand-embroidered blousons feature crystal, pearl and flower embroidery, as well as large white lace collars (one of the big trends of the season!), balloon sleeves in duchesse, and leather applications with Art Deco-inspired inlays. Jeans, on the other hand, are decorated with duchesse profiles, finished with turn-ups or turned into shorts.
All the items of the collaboration, which is launched with a campaign shot by Johnny Dufort starring the actress Emma Corrin along with models Lila Moss and Georgia Palmer, feature Levi's label which, for the event, is colored pink and includes the Miu Miu logo.
Upcycled by Miu Miu in collaboration with Levi's will be available starting Monday, May 24 online at miumiu.com, in 18 select Miu Miu stores and at Dover Street Market in Los Angeles.
