Victoria Beckham reunites the Spice Girls for Pride Month
For a mini capsule collection in support of the UK's LGBTQIA+ community
June 11th, 2021
The Spice Girls are back together! No, sadly there is no new tour or the expected confirmation of the Spice World2 movie, but a charity project that reunites for the first time in a while Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B e Mel C. Posh Spice invited her former bandmates to present her capsule collection celebrating Pride Month 2021: a t-shirt and a pouch featuring the words "Proud and wannabe your lover", a nod to Wannabe, the iconic single that made the five English girls beloved pop stars.
Pride to me is a celebration of being completely yourself and this year's t-shirt is a reminder of that. - Wrote the designer on IG - The Spice Girls really championed accepting yourself and others, being kind, having fun and just living your best life! The LGBTQ+ community is so close to my heart, and I'm so proud to be supporting Pride 2021 with AKT again this year.
In this digital reunion, shared with all the fans via Instagram, each Spice wears the tee showing her personal style: Victoria wears it with a pair of bootcut jeans, Geri with a romantic white ruffle skirt, Mel B and Mel C opt for a no make-up look, while Emma goes for doll eyes and a vintage pistachio green phone.
As always, to support the new collection of the London designer there is also the whole family, starting from her husband David to Romeo Beckham who has just become the star of Saint Laurent FW21 campaign.
100% of the proceeds from Victoria Beckham Pride capsule collection, which is available online and in-store from Dover Street market, will be donated to the Albert Kennedy Trust, a non-profit organization that supports LGBTQ+ homeless youth in the UK.
