Euphoria's Episode 6 characters' best looks
"A Thousand Little Trees of Blood"
February 8th, 2022
A raw, dense and at times disturbing episode that just came out, in which the American TV series that conquers for its topicality becomes increasingly difficult to watch for those sensitive to the issue of substance abuse, a topic that Zendaya has publicly defending the series from accusations of "drug glamification", and makes true as a realistic picture the problems related to addiction of any kind that can occur in high school, including toxic love, resulting a bit 'in hyperbole. Euphoria in its escalation continues to surprise even in terms of look as well as social issues, always in line with the personalities of the characters. Maddy is a perfect strategist in a crochet corset by Dion Lee while Cassie reacts passively to the consequence of her actions by staying at home in her pajamas, strictly in Brandy & Melville and Jules yearns in silence wearing a tee by Chopowa Lowena. Styling by Heidi Bivens is decidedly fashion-forward.
Maddy
Without Maddy and the avant-garde styling selected for her by the series' costume designer, this category of items would not exist: the black cropped corset by Dion Lee that leaves her belly exposed, worn paired with a pair of wide-leg jeans by True Religion are hyper-representative of her personality. The gold hoop earrings are from New York-based brand The M Jewellers. The icing on the cake of this episode for her is the purple mermaid silhouette dress by Norman Norell, an American designer known for his high fashion interpretations of post-war American fashion, strictly vintage and provided by @aralda.vintage.
Jules
Defiladed but always present, Jules goes through a particular period given the difficult relationship with Rue and in addition to looking tired, she stays at home in pajamas, more specifically in in the Kitten Tee by Chopowa Lowena, a brand that perfectly combines the grunge aesthetic with feminine elements such as their very famous skirt.
Cassie
After the events unfolded, Cassie cried her eyes out, and did so in a classic home outfit, a gray jumpsuit. The ensemble worn by Sydney Sweenie is basic but glamorous at the same time, all signed Brandy and Melville, a brand definitely in line with the cheerleader and it-girl aesthetic embodied by Cassie and includes the top selling Rose Sweatpants and matching sweatshirt, and the unobtainable Ronny Lace Tank Top, which has become one of the archival pieces of the brand that defined the millennial aesthetic resold on Depop at very high prices.
Kat
Bright smile and Scorpio tail, her zodialcal sign, well in sight for Kat, who lives her very personal break-up earlier than expected, even if she expected it a bit. She wears a mini-dress by the y2k brand beloved by celebrities like Lourdes Leon Ciccone, O-MIGHTY, accessorized with jewelry by The M Jewellers, an American gold-plated jewelry label.
Gia
Rue's sister is a secondary character, but her presence and closeness to Rue could be crucial to the protagonist's future. The "Quiet Storm" or "Quiet Storm" as Storm Reid, the actress who plays her, defines her, wears a two-tone tee by Heaven by Marc Jacobs, the brand that made everyone remember the power of the British designer and a handmade necklace by By Lefty.
