Cher and Donatella Versace together for Pride 2022
The iconic couple launches the Chersace capsule
June 7th, 2022
After Fendace, comes Chersace. On the occasion of Pride Month 2022, Donatella Versace has joined forces with Cher to create a capsule collection of T-shirts and accessories in support of Gender spectrum, a charity whose work directly supports members of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly children and young people.
"It has always been my dream to collaborate with Cher, and it’s finally come true! I’m delighted that we can support such a brilliant charity that has such a positive impact, particularly on young people".
Said Donatella Versace, who a few days ago announced the creation of the Versace Foundation, an organization that will be committed on various fronts to supporting, promoting and disseminating culture and education to preserve and pass on the culture of the LGBQTIA+ community. A commitment also shared by the iconic American singer:
"Donatella and I have been dear friends for a lifetime. It just felt right for our very first collaboration to be one about LGBTQ Pride and celebrating a community that means so incredibly much to both of us. We wanted to make a fun collection supporting a good cause, and we hope you like it."
Each piece is totally black, illuminated by some rainbow details: the Medusa logo, the Chersace inscription, dedication and the signatures of the two style icons. The selection, available on versace.com from 7 June, also includes a baseball cap, a pair of socks and a limited edition tee hand-signed by Cher and Donatella and embellished with colored glitter that will only be on sale in the USA.
