Colourful, edgy and highly Instagramable pouch bags are the guilty pleasure that no one can resist. The handbags, which look like little pouches closed with laces, are reminiscent of the cotton pouches we find in shoe boxes when we go shopping or the ones we keep jewellery in, but their true inspiration seems to be the little cloth pouches worn by high society ladies in the 19th century. In the 1990s, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, Winona Ryder and Jennifer Aniston wore them regularly, but their biggest pioneer is Miuccia Prada, who to this day has her staff sew them especially for special occasions. Thank you to Bottega Veneta's Pouch and other luxurious advancements like The Row's XL Bourse Bag or the Chanel 22 Handbag, they have made a comeback in recent seasons.
There are numerous models, all different and very pretty. When you see the pictures of the brands, it's like having a tray of beautiful, fragrant and delicious macaroons in front of you. It's impossible to choose.
