Sia Arnika: "Fashion can be whatever you want it to be"

Interview with the danish designer

Sia Arnika: Fashion can be whatever you want it to be Interview with the danish designer

If you've been keeping an eye on Khy, Kylie Jenner's clothing brand, then in November, you were introduced to Sia Arnika, a Danish designer based in Berlin. Known for her mastery in blending contrasting aesthetics, she collaborated with the youngest of the Jenners to create a collection. We had the chance to chat with her, where she shared her vision of the world and fashion, along with some insights into the future.

Interview with Sia Arnika

Define yourself and your brand in three words each

Myself: Cute, Observant, driven.
My Brand: Experimental Normality, Introspective, Curious.

What and who is inspiring you right now?

I’m constantly inspired by elements of the past, weaving them into a modern context to create something that feels both familiar and fresh. Memories—whether rooted in reality or imagined—are central to the stories I tell.

Do you think fashion can be political?

Sure, it can, fashion can be so much. It can be escapism as well. It can be whatever you want it to be.

In a more and more “informed” and “socialized” world, what does it mean to escape?

Escape, for me, isn’t about running away; it’s about being present. I can easily “escape” in several ways – through the people in my life, through traveling, and even trough working – It’s about fully engaging with the moment.

In a world where everything is possible, who would you like to collaborate with?

All my heroes, in art, fashion, and culture.

Do you think social networks can help indie brands? Or not?

Social networks are a double-edged sword. They give brands like mine a platform to connect with a global audience, but they also demand constant visibility, which can dilute authenticity. The challenge is staying true to your vision while navigating the algorithm.

How the collaboration with Kylie Jenner and Amelia Gray came to life?

It started organically through stylists who resonated with my brand early on. Kylie became a fan and wanted me to design the holiday collection for her; A perfect bow at the end of the year. We also went all in on the campaign with Amelia and Kylie side-by-side shot by the fab Theo Liu, giving some sass to the fans.

What’s in Sia Arnika future? Can you spoil something for us?

The next collection dives deeper into reimagining traditional craftsmanship through a modern lens. Expect experimental fabrics, bold silhouettes, and an exploration of the brand’s evolving identity. And yes, there might be a surprise collaboration or two on the horizon—stay tuned!
