Rihanna and Puma are back with a new Creeper
Bigger, prettier and bolder than ever before
November 29th, 2023
Extra confidence, extra style, extra everything. Rihanna has updated Puma's iconic Creeper, which debuted in 2015 and was named Footwear News' Shoe of the Year in 2016, with a contemporary and decidedly bold look that's bigger and more spectacular than ever. "The original Creeper changed the game for us. We knew it was time to bring it back. This shoe has universal appeal and we’ve seen tremendous consumer excitement for the silhouette to return. We are excited to not only be able to build upon the existing silhouette with the Creeper Phatty but also expand our offering to the entire family", says Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer of Puma.
As the star herself explains: "We took our OG Creeper and made it bigger and badder. When designing the Creeper Phatty we wanted to reinvent the OG Creeper that was loved by so many. It’s a classic silhouette that has been missed, so it’s return had to be bigger." And the images of the Creeper Phatty 2023 that Philippa Price shot for the advertising campaign confirm this. The sneaker features an oversized design, a rubber sole with a layered effect and bold colour accents. It is covered in suede and has a padded and embossed moulded stripe, as well as the Fenty logo that stands out on the tongue. The final detail? Gold-coloured laces and a stacked rubber sole.
The iconic Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty is finally back and is available in three different colourways: iconic black and white, bright blue and green, and lavender and cherry red - worldwide at puma.com and selected retailers, including Foot Locker.
