Tips and tricks on how to treat your skin and enhance your eyes
June 8th, 2020
Let's face it. Together with the developments of the Coronavirus health emergency in the last period - the certainty that we will have to live with the face mask for some time is increasingly evident. And, even if for now we won't go back to making up as before wearing brightly colored lipsticks or glosses, nobody forbids us to keep our style by changing our usual habits related to the beauty routine. How? Focusing on skin and eyes.
It goes without saying that the main problem (of all) will be the choice of the moisturizer as a base and the foundation which, especially in summer, can easily melt under the mask and create an annoying wet and sticky sensation. Natural shades, long-lasting formulas and light textures such as those of CC Cream, therefore, will certainly help the skin to breathe better even when covered.
On the eyes, learning how to apply mascara and eyeliner is essential. Yes to waterproof formulas (especially if you wear eyeglasses or sunglasses) but also to colorful and fun textures that can make your eyes stand out! Eyeshadows will also play an important role in the beauty look: in pastel, glitter or nude shades, the eye palettes will be an excellent ally as long as we wear the mask.
Well, now let's move on to the step by step guide to the perfect make up routine for the face mask.
STEP 1
Start by cleansing the skin (before and after) exclusively with delicate products that can restore and maintain the skin's optimal pH, help its natural defenses, thus making it less sensitive to the stress that will involve using the mask.
STEP 2
Then moving on to the hydration phase, choose a face oil suitable for your skin needs. The choice of an oil formula instead of a cream, in fact, will guarantee a deeper and more effective delivery of the active ingredients and will help to create a shield element, with the result of a hydrated and revitalized skin.
STEP 3
Then proceed by creating a light base with the use of a CC Cream that provides subtle coverage, promising lasting improvement to the skin with the aim of reducing imperfections. Apply it like this: dab small dots of product and blend over the entire face with a make-up brush or clean fingers. Absolutely avoid massaging or rubbing it, otherwise you risk irritating the skin.
STEP 4
To finish the base, finally apply a compact powder that will allow you to create a sort of protection between the skin and the mask so that, with rubbing, it does not ruin the makeup.
STEP 5
Now apply mascara and eyeliner by adding, if you wish, an eyeshadow in a shade that contrasts with the color of your eyes. If you have them brown, yes to warm shades such as gold or bronze and special textures; if you have them blue, go for dark colors like black or gray or metallic formulas; if you have them green, go ahead to purple in all its shades, better if in a compact formula!
