After three years, Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset

It's official:  Cardi B and Offset have split up. According to TMZ, the WAP hitmaker filed for divorce in the Fulton County Court in Georgia. The files state that the singer is seeking "dissolution of the marriage" because "irreparably broken", "they are currently separated" and "there is no prospect for a reconciliation". In 2018, the Bronx rapper had already filed for divorce from her husband because of his many infidelities. Then they reconciled and Cardi explained that she had decided to get back together with Offset because she was still in love with him and for their daughter Kulture. Now, there is no hope of reconciliation between the two.

Although it lasted only three years, the relationship between the couple was a kind of roller coaster ride, between ups and downs, extravagant gifts, songs, red carpet and cheating. Cardi said they met for the first time at an "industry event" and Offset started courting her, then, in January 2017, they collaborated on the song Lick, included in the Cardi B Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2 album.

When she posted on IG a photo of them together at the Super Bowl 2017 and then a kiss exchanged on Valentine's Day, more and more insistent rumors began to run about their love, confirmed by the secret marriage. The proposal? It arrived eight months after, on stage at the Powerhouse Power 99 concert in Philadelphia with a 20-carat diamond ring. In an Instagram post, then deleted, the singer wrote: 

I’m so emotional, @offsetyrn I loveee you so much. Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me. For giving me advice molding me and loving me... I can’t wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you. Lets make a lot shmoney and love together…

About marriage, instead, she said:

Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn't want to lose each other, was one morning in September we woke up and decided to get married. We found someone to marry us, and she did, just the two of us and my cousin. I said I do, with no dress no make up and no ring!

In the meantime, more and more rumors about Offset's betrayals start to spread and more and more insistently, followed by continuous back and forth between the two, but in June 2018, surprisingly, Offset and Cadi B became parents of Kulture Kiari Cephus.

Only a few months later news about an imminent divorce began to multiply. The artist of the Migos tries in every way to win back his wife, to the point of coming on stage at the Rolling Loud Festival with a mega message composed of red and white roses, which read "Take me back, Cardi". She, visibly embarrassed, sent him away from the show, but the following January the couple reunited. Cardi said to Vogue:

My thing is, everybody on social media acts like relationships is perfect. And that's crazy to me. I'm around so many women, and there's always a woman talking about how she loves her man, but her man is not financially stable, or she has a problem with his mum, or the sex is not as good anymore. Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. 

Unfortunately, love now seems to be over forever.

Although their love wasn't apparently meant to last, nss G-Club wants to remember the best moments and looks of Cardi B and Offset.
