The Weeknd has a new mega-mansion. The star just bought a $70 million property in Los Angeles that spans 1.6 acres and overlooks the Bel-Air Country Club. Once you cross the double gates, walk down the long driveway and open the door, you enter into a paradise with every possible luxurious amenity: 9 bedrooms; a formal living room with glossy orange walls and an imposing black marble fireplace; an industrial-style office; a dining room with coffered ceilings; a gourmet kitchen that boasts professional appliances, two marble islands with waterfall edges, copper drawers and cabinets made special by custom handles made from leather belts. The Weeknd will also have access to a spa with a sauna, a hammam, an indoor pool, an outdoor infinity pool with a waterfall, a movie theater, a gym, a sports court, a recording studio and several and terraces with a scenic view of the golf course.
The mansion's previous owners were Dutch entrepreneur Reinout Oerlemans, founder of television production company Eyeworks, and his wife Danielle, a former professional cyclist who once dated Lance Armstrong. According to reports in the Wall Street Journal, the couple had no intention of giving up their home, but changed their minds after being contacted by real estate agents Rayni and Branden Williams who, knowing the Blinding Lights singer was looking for a new property, thought the Oerlemans' home was perfect for the star. Who knows if The Weeknd will move in all alone or, maybe, he will often host Angelina Jolie with whom, according to rumors, he has a love story?
