Maisie Williams designed a line of sustainable bags with Coperni
The British actress revisited the Swipe Bag in a vegan version, using apple as raw material

If you followed the last fashion weeks you will have probably seen Maisie Williams in the front row. The Game of Thrones star, often with her boyfriend Reuben Selby, was among the guests at Prada, Dior, Chloé, Jacquemus and Thom Browne fashion shows. Now the actress has decided to take it a step further and stop being merely a spectator or ambassador by creating a small line of bags with Coperni. In collaboration with design duo Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, she has revisited the French brand's popular Swipe Bag in an entirely sustainable and vegan version. The new accessory is made with an innovative material obtained from apple scraps from Italy that are dried without chemicals and transformed into an alternative to classic animal leather.
Coperni and I have been quietly working on our collaboration for some time and I’m so proud and excited to finally share what we have created together! - Said Williams - The bags are made from apple leather and I hope will inspire more people to both shop and produce with materials that contribute towards a more sustainable future.
The result, inspired by the symbolism of the apple in pop culture and the textures of the forest ecosystem, is quite versatile and playful. The Maisie Williams x Coperni collection includes two perforated cross-body models, featuring a detachable shoulder strap and five pins recalling the stickers you find on apples. All these elements give an unusual twist to the typical oval shape of the Swipe Bag that originally refers to the unlocking logo of an iPhone.
The new item from the French brand comes in two sizes, Crossbody Swipe Bag (595 euros) and Mini Crossbody Swipe Bag (495 euros), and in three colors: silver, forest green and berry red. The entire collection, launched with a campaign shot by Gorka Postigo starring Williams, is already available for pre-order on Coperni's website ahead of the official release scheduled for November 22.
