Cardi B is Playboy's first creative director in residence
The singer will also have the same position for Centerford, the new creator-led platform

Cardi B has a new job: she will be Playboy's first creative director in residence.
It is a dream come true to officially join the Playboy family. I can’t believe this is real. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt connected to Playboy. It’s truly the original platform for uncensored creativity and I’m inspired by its incredible legacy of fighting for personal freedoms. I have so many ideas already — I can’t wait!
With these words, the singer shows her excitement about the collaboration with the iconic US magazine. The star will oversee the art direction on digital editorials, activations and upcoming co-branded apparel and sexual wellness products. Ben Kohn, CEO of PLBY Group, Inc, the pleasure and lifestyle company owner of Playboy, explains that there is no better choice than Cardi to fill the role of creative director. The reasons? Cardi is the embodiment of the Playboy brand because of her commitment to "free expression, her dedication to lifting up artistic voices and her celebration of sex and body positivity".
Cardi will have the same position at Centerford, the new creator-led platform that will be launched in December and is expected to not only bring the magazine founded in 1953 by Hugh Hefner, with its unique mix of sex and culture, into the digital universe, but also "revolutionize the creator economy just as Playboy magazine shook up the publishing industry nearly 70 years ago." This virtual space in which music, fashion, art, activism and adult entertainment merge will offer creators the opportunity to "interact directly with their fans, expand their communities and build their own personal content and commerce businesses."
