Why hasn't Bella Hadid been seen in a while?

"I’ll be back when I’m ready", the model disappeared from the limelight due to heart and health problems

Why hasn't Bella Hadid been seen in a while? I’ll be back when I’m ready, the model disappeared from the limelight due to heart and health problems

Where has Bella Hadid gone? While her sister Gigi has been attending the latest fashion weeks and made headlines recently for being arrested at Owen Roberts International Airport in the Cayman Islands for importing weed, Bella seems to have disappeared from the catwalks and social media. Entertainment Tonight is now unravelling the mystery, reporting that the model is in a slump due to heart and health issues. An anonymous source told the online magazine that the model reportedly split from boyfriend Marc Kalman last spring. "They were very in love, but the relationship ultimately ran its course and they decided to end things. Bella is a very nice person, but struggles with the pressures of fame. She has been trying to take care of herself since their split." In addition, as she herself confirmed in posts on Instagram, Bella has withdrawn from the limelight because she is undergoing a series of treatments for Lyme disease.

Who is Bella Hadid's boyfriend

Hadid and Kalman were first spotted together back in 2020, but they kept their relationship a secret until it was publicly confirmed in July 2021. Things seemed to be going so well between the two that there were people claiming last summer that Kalman was planning to propose to Bella in the autumn. Then came the break-up. The reasons were not disclosed, but rumour has it that the causes were put down to both the pressures the 26-year-old faces as a celebrity and her health problems.

Bella Hadid and health problems

According to the source, health is indeed the reason for Bella's retreat from the limelight: "Bella Hadid has been on medical leave for the past four months, and is in daily treatment for Lyme disease." In early August, she herself confirmed the indiscretion with a lengthy post on her IG profile, featuring a series of images showing her struggle to return to health, thanking those who stood by her, and explaining the difficulties she faced on the road from her 2012 diagnosis to her recent 100-day hospital stay.

"The little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself." She begins with these words and goes on to say that despite the pain and difficulties of living with an "invisible illness", she is grateful: "To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever. one thing I want to express to you all is that 1: I am okay and you do not have to worry, and 2: I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today." As pictures showing the model during her recovery period alternate with others of medical reports establishing Lyme disease, an infection transmitted by the bite of ticks and caused by the spirochete Borrelia that can lead to neurological changes and cardiac and rheumatologic complications, Hadid explains "I tried to pick the most positive pictures I could because as painful as this experience was, the outcome was the most enlightening experience of my life filled with new friends, new visions and a new brain." In conclusion, Bella thanks the doctors who have cared for her, her dog Glizzy P. Beans, her family and especially her mother, who suffers from the same disease as her brother Anwar, for standing by her with love and devotion. She concludes by addressing her fans, "I'll be back when I’m ready. I miss you all so much. I love you all so much."

Bella Hadid and alcohol problems

So Bella is not a rehabilitation for alcohol and drug problems, as some had maliciously implied. "Nine months ago, Bella decided she wanted to stop drinking, so she stopped. She has been sober for nine months and has never had an alcohol or drug problem. Bella is not in rehab," the source told ET. In the past, the model has not only been very open about her health developments, but also about her relationship with alcohol. "I have done my fair share of drinking. I loved alcohol and it got to the point where even I started to, you know, cancel nights out that I felt like I wouldn't be able to control myself." Bella's fans are rooting for her and think it's great that she's coming out in person and also talking about her bad moments.
