We’re all waiting for it. Lady Gaga has arrived at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, the second chapter in Todd Phillips' villain saga. Today, September 4th, the red carpet will take place, and from her arrival looks at the Lido, we can sense a vintage mood with shades of black. Beside her on the big screen is Joaquin Phoenix, while beside her in life is Michael Polansky. In the new film by the director of The Hangover, Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn, aka Harleen Frances Quinzel, a music therapist for Arthur Fleck. The two will fall in love inside Arkham State Hospital and live together in a state of love, illusion, and madness. Meanwhile, between one musical number and another, Joker's supporters will try to organize a movement to free their idol. Although it’s not exactly a musical, as the lead actress just stated during the press conference alongside Joaquin Phoenix, much of the film will revolve around musical numbers, and the soundtrack is already available for preorder.

The Collaboration with Bruno Mars, Streaming Success, and the New Album

This promotional tour, which kicks off today in Venice and promises to bring us plenty of dreamy looks, comes shortly after the release of the song with Bruno Mars, Die With a Smile, which topped the Spotify Global chart and achieved significant streaming success. Shortly after, as Lady Gaga herself revealed on Instagram, the first single from the new album will be released. The post, a simple photo of an itinerary written on the letterhead of a famous hotel in the lagoon city, sent fans into a frenzy, who have been speculating for weeks about the direction of this new era following the pink-themed Chromatica.
